People of all cultures, identities, experiences, and walks of life are invited to come and share the DEItango experience. We are dancers and teachers who believe that the values of diversity, equity and integration can be learned, practiced and embodied through TANGO dance. From day one, we all learn both leading and following — letting go of outdated gender roles and sterotypes and opening space for true human connection and mutual respect.
We love the traditions of Argentinean tango — the music from the Golden Age, the close embrace, el cabeceo — while dancing forward with an open mind and inclusive values. Swapping roles and partners reminds us to listen, care, and support one another.
